The wedding of H.R.H. Princess Iman of Jordan and Mr Jameel Alexander Thermiotis

Well well well, you thought you had me out and instead, here I am. Today we are talking about awonderful event: a royal wedding.

We are in Amman, the capital of Jordan, and two young men in love are getting married. The groom, of Greek origins, born in Venezuela, graduated in finance in the United States; she, born princess, second child of what will be the most beautiful queen of all time and her husband king, identical to her mother, whose studies end in the United States. We are talking about H.R.H Princess Iman of Jordan and Mr Jameel Alexander Thermiotis.

Their engagement had been announced surprisingly in July 2022, precisely because the children of the king of Jordan live a very private life. Even today, several months later, we don't know how they met, how many years they've been together, whether they'll live in Jordan or New York.

Just as the wedding date was a surprise: announced just a week before the big event, nobody knew what to expect. The event was preceded by what in Jordan they call "Henné night" (a sort of Western bachelorette party, where women's hands are decorated with Henné).

For a week the attention of the Jordanian people was all about the first event of the year (his brother, the Crown Prince will get married on June 1, 2023) that the country will host. Paradoxically, a media event that, probably, the princess would have avoided, so perhaps all the mystery around this event is due to this.

18.00 the live begins on YouTube, but also on the RHC page on Facebook (never seen a royal wedding go live on Facebook, but probably their social media manager is really ahead, now we are waiting for the live at the same time also on Instagram for the next wedding) in which the bride's parents welcome the guests. Now, before going further I want to mention a great queen: There is nothing better than a royal wedding to revive the image of the monarchy. Here, these words were spoken by Queen Elizabeth, Queen Mother.

That's why when I read that only 150 guests would attend the wedding, I was amazed. Then I thought about the bride, about her character, and I understood. This was her wedding, in a Middle Eastern country in a deep economic crisis. Iman has chosen to have by her side only people who really feel affection for her and for her new husband.

Shortly after 30 minutes of welcoming the guests, the royal couple enters the hall where the wedding will be held, waiting for their daughter. Another point that left me a little amazed was the fact that it was the older brother and heir to the throne who accompanied the bride "to the altar" and not her father.

But it doesn't matter, because when I saw Princess Iman wrapped up in her white dress designed by Maria Grazia Chiuri for Dior, I forgot everything. She was just PERFECT. A perfect dress for her figure, with lace inserts, a very long embroidered veil and a new tiara, all for her.

The princess seems painted, come down from heaven, Dante's Beatrice, an angel come down to earth. When I saw her heading towards the place of the ceremony, a tear fell, I was excited as if she were my sister. Already during the video of Queen Rania in which she watched her daughter at her dress fitting I was excited, but yesterday I had the final blow. The ceremony took place at sunset, but it was she who lit up everything around: the princess bride. Who with her shy but always joyful smile has radiated light on her most important day.

I could not have imagined a different wedding dress for her, so delicate, refined, so REGAL. Yes, because this gown gave her even more royalty than the princess didn't have. For me, all the meaning of the term was enclosed in her, if I were in dictionaries next to this word I would put a photo of her dressed as a bride. Do you think that my favorite dress of a royal lady has always been that of the current Princess of Wales. Well, my first comment was: OMG managed to reach the first step of this ranking (always tied with Catherine), a really difficult undertaking, in which many before her had not succeeded. And do you know why she did it?! Not only because she is truly a blood princess, but because she has made her dress reflect herself, her character, her soul. A sweet, pure, clear, reserved soul who doesn't need to be extravagant or over the top to carve out a role in society. You don't need to elbow to say: here I am, I'm here too. She doesn't necessarily care about being the prettiest at the prom (spoiler: she always is), she doesn't care about attending all the events that her brother's future wife will probably be forced to attend. For Iman she is only interested in her life, away from the clamor of the public, in a reserved and perhaps "normal" way. Perhaps she prefers eating pizza on the sofa with her husband rather than a gala dinner in New York, spending a day with the children of a school in her town rather than an intercontinental trip. And her marriage mirrored that to the fullest. So simple, full of candles, all white, in this room of the king and queen's home, with truly minimal decorations, just as minimal was her bouquet. Even the wedding cake, mammoth though it was, was incredibly simple. Like Iman.

Because in the end the princess has got us used to this: her presence makes and will always make more noise than her presence.

Best wishes Iman and Jameel and sons, as they say in Italy.

Now you can go back into the shadows until the next apparition, which will be on June 1st and we (especially me) will be waiting for you here, watching and rewatching your wedding video.

Waiting for the Coronation of Charles III and Queen Camilla, third act.

We talked about the most "important" details of the coronation, now let's move on to the lighter part; what will the other women of the royal family wear for the coronation? The dress code for the coronation of Charles III has not yet been decided, so we still don't know exactly what awaits us, but we can try to imagine it. Probably the other royal ladies will wear long dresses, perhaps designed for them by the big British fashion houses, of course. I imagine Princess Anne in a super minimal dress, essential and without too many frills. The new Duchess of Edinburgh with a glamorous dress with a clean line that can reflect her new status within the family. Princess of Wales: eh we have a lot to talk about here. I could bet that the designer who will design her dress for this event will be the same one who designed her wedding dress: Alexander McQueen. By now he accompanies her in every big event - last in importance is obviously the funeral of Queen Elizabeth II. Seein

Princess of Wales glam week

I think by now you all know how much I adore fashion and royalty, they are my greatest passions; could I ever not comment on this week's actual events that provided us with some super glam looks?  Answer: OBVIOUSLY NOT.  So let's proceed. Fans of royal families, especially the British royal family, know very well that this week we had 2 very important events: Commonwealth Day and the St. Patrick's Day Parade. Just like every year, on the second Monday of March at Westminster Abbey, a religious service is held in the presence of the royal family. Never like this year, the working royals were all lined up: from the princess royal, passing through the new Dukes of Edinburgh up to the top of the throne, the Princes of Wales and the royal couple. Obviously, attention is always focused on the women of the royal family:  Princess Anna has accustomed us to her minimal and no-frills style;  The new duchess of Edinburgh also has a classic and timeless style;  The Queen consort Camill
